Oppila has created an open-source hardware platform, OWINOS to achieve the complete end-to-end open-source IoT solutions. OWINOS is a flexible, secure, easy to prototype, scalable, and multi-purpose platform for implementing complete end-to-end IoT solutions and smart products. To ease the research and development/prototyping, we introduced OWINOS, a platform that has O-Mote & O-Router.
OWINOS is ported in open-source IoT Operating Systems such as RIoT & Contiki and thus OWINOS has become a powerful IoT platform. OWINOS is fully compatible with the latest trending IoT protocols like MQTT, REST, 6LowPAN, CoAP. OWINOS can be used in various industrial and consumer applications, ranging from the home control system to high-end secure industrial applications.
With OWINOS, end-to-end open-source IoT solutions can be established including on-premise private cloud, using MQTT client-server, Kafka distributed streaming platform, MySQL database, Grafana visualization platform, or using respective other platforms.
O-Mote : O-Mote is specially designed for IoT-based applications with onboard sensors such as accelerometer, pressure sensor, LDR and can communicate with other connected Mote’s in the network to form the mesh network.
O-Router : O-Router is an Ultra-Low power development board specially designed for IoT-based applications, which is an open-source routing device that forwards data packets between networks.
OWINOS beginner's IoT pack will help to kick start the IoT journey. It comes with a single O-Router and three O-Mote development kits that enable beginners to build a wide range of fascinating IoT projects. Easy integration of sensors data with the cloud helps to visualize the data on the fly.
OWINOS designer IoT pack offers everything needed to easily prototype different IoT applications rapidly with minimal investment. Routers and Motes provide reliable and secure connectivity over ZigBee which is aimed at helping the designers to create, monitor, manage, and maintain IoT infrastructure with a mesh network.
Industrial IoT pack is suitable for commissioning IoT infrastructure in bigger/factory premises. It comes with ten O-Mote and three O-Router development kits which enables the creation of a chain of sub-networks to cover a larger area. It supports rapid prototyping of highly secure, end-to-end IoT implementation with an on-premise private cloud setup. The various sensors and actuators can also be integrated through onboard communication interfaces like UART, I2C and SPI.
